Hypnos leading the way in sustainability
Today, part of the Hypnos sustainability journey is to accelerate transparency and integrity, with Hypnos partnering with several certified bodies to audit their supply chain, their farmers and their farming practices, including animal and soil health, so they understand the farming ethics and origins of all their raw materials.
Indeed, they have partnered with Red Tractor, for certified farming standards, in an industry first that has seen Hypnos create the pioneering Hospitality Origins Collection, where the British wool in their mattresses is traceable right back to Red Tractor assured farms.
Hypnos are the only bed maker to partner with the Global Recycled Standard, CottonConnect and the Better Cotton Initiative, to maximise their use of environmentally friending materials – even their packaging is made with sugar cane.
With a clear focus on sustainable design, all Hypnos beds are free from chemical-based foams and are 100% recyclable ensuring they never go to landfill.
Hypnos is proud to have won a Queen’s Award for Enterprise for Sustainable Development and they were also the first carbon neutral bed maker in the world and the only bed company to have held the carbon neutral status since 2011. Hypnos continue to offset their carbon footprint by planting trees in both UK schools and the Amazon Rainforest, as well as working with the Planet Mark and the Eden Project to implement a ‘force for good’ charity-led and re-wilding strategy in their community.
