"One of my biggest pieces to date and the first in which I collaborated with another Cornish business. I wanted to take the texture in this piece to another level, to really build the depth. To do this I have used off cuts of fibreglass from Newquay surfboard shaper Rochfort Customs

These off cuts are non recyclable and would normally be destined for landfill, repurposing them into texture in my art helps Rochfort Customs become one step closer to being zero-waste.

This piece focuses on the south end Fistral beach, where the powerful waves crash into the rocky shoreline. The heavy texture I have created in this piece portrays this fierce momentum. I have also concentrated on building multiple layers of shimmering blue hues in the water, reflecting the sun glistening on the waters surface."
