About the Brand

Bamford was founded on the belief that we need to be more mindful of our connection to the earth; to live consciously, in harmony with nature, and to respect the land that provides for us.
We craft considered clothing and homeware; natural skincare, bath and body collections; and provide nurturing experiences that inspire our community to be more connected: to their bodies and minds, to others, and to the environment.

Everything that we do, make and craft is informed by a desire to be mindful of our footprint and create in an ethical and sustainable way.

Founder Biography

Carole Bamford has been a champion of sustainable, mindful living for over 40 years, driven by her profound belief that we need to work in harmony with nature, to nurture and protect it and treat it with respect. Bamford was born out of Carole’s belief that what we put on our body is as important as what we put into it through our food. Through the clothing, bath, body and homeware collections she has been an energetic promoter of natural, organic beauty products and sustainably produced garments made from natural fibres.
She believes that artisan skills, traditions and craftsmanship should be championed and supported and that the earth’s resources need to be protected and cared for. Daylesford and Bamford have been recognised with numerous awards.

Sustainability Story

At Bamford we have outlined our four areas of responsibility to monitor our sustainability progress: Keeping craft alive; Enduring design; Preferred materials; and Community & collaboration. We also have the Butterfly Mark certification, powered by Positive Luxury, for our commitment to social and environmental sustainability.
We believe in supporting and championing the work of artisans and are uncompromising and passionate about preserving their skills, heritage and traditions. Craftsmanship enables and promotes a slow, considered way of producing; craftspeople tend to work with their hands, producing in small runs, offering quality over quantity and ensuring the final object is truly unique.
