Angus Alchemy at Forbes of Kingennie

Scotland’s first Moonshine distillery, Angus Alchemy is creating waves by bringing Moonshine back to its native shores, and handcrafting spirits infused with natural, locally-sourced ingredients.

The resulting drinks are turning heads and winning awards!

Located just 4miles (less than 10mins drive) from Forbes of Kingennie, the Moonshine Village style distillery is home to 5 stills producing an award winning range of gins and Scottish moonshines.

It features an ‘Angels’ Share’ inspired art installation by Scotland’s favourite street artist, Rebel Bear, as well as award winning loos and a gift shop which sells their own products as well as a great selection of other locally produced drinks, Cuban cigars and fun gifts.

Angus Alchemy's Scottish Moonshine flavours include Clootie Moonshine and Cranachan Moonshine.

Clootie won a bronze award at the internally acclaimed IWSC awards, just a very few weeks after launching. It’s crammed with the flavours of a clootie dumpling. Think golden syrup, raisins and gently warming spices like cinnamon and nutmeg.

Cranachan is summer in a bottle! Local raspberries, toasted oats, honey and creamy notes.

Angus Alchemy’s Award Winning gins are made locally with prickly botanicals, such as nettle, thistle and rose.
